Few chefs have managed to carve out a niche for themselves on the Barcelona scene so quickly, much less with such a clear, honest discourse as Fran López. Raised in a kitchen, he brings the sublimation of the cuisine of his homeland, les Terres de l’Ebre, to Barcelona.
The cuisine from the Delta del Ebro inspires and forms the backbone of this culinary experience, which was awarded a Michelin star in 2016. The food is honest and respectful of the product, and then takes it to a higher level. Rice dishes, eel, fish and seafood, game and meat from the lands near the Ebro River. Products crafted in contemporary ways with touches inspired by Asia and French Nouvelle Cuisine.
The gourmet tasting menu, which is updated each season, gives a narrative meaning to a memorable gastronomic experience. Order it with our wine pairings developed specifically by our sommelier, Javier Campo. Or if you prefer to order your own meal, you will not be disappointed by the menu.
The Xerta Tapas Bar is the little brother of Restaurant Xerta. A quick version which has been making a name for itself on the Barcelona scene ever since it opened. Signature tapas and a brief yet carefully culled wine list.
With a menu inspired by the gourmet tasting menu at Restaurant Xerta, it allows you to enjoy the same concepts and in-season products at very reasonable prices. Our suggestion: if you want to discover lots of interesting flavours, allow yourself to be advised by your waiter and the sommelier.
Under the supervision of our Michelin-starred chef Fran López, we are pleased to offer you our breakfast: a complete buffet with local products and carefully chosen fruit, in addition to a menu with all kinds of eggs (poached, scrambled, omelettes, fried, etc.). Come down with plenty of time, grab a newspaper and take all the time in the world to linger over breakfast.
Craft a made-to-order breakfast: from a classic continental breakfast with eggs, bacon and toast to the healthiest choices with fruit and premium local dairy products, or perhaps a traditional Catalan breakfast with farmhouse sausages, bread spread with tomato and virgin olive oil from the lands near the Ebro River.
