Our priority has always been to ensure the health and well-being of our guests and employees. In Ohla we wish you to continue enjoying our hotels and live carefree experiences. We would like to share with you the measures we have adopted, complying with government and health indications.
We have created the Safe & Care by Ohla Boutique Hotels.
Our protocol of preventive measures is based on the guidelines provided by the Institute for Spanish Tourism Quality, together with the Ministry of Tourism and Health Service.

 

1. CLEANING AND DISINFECTION PROTOCOLS

We have reinforced and increased the frequency in all the protocols of cleaning of rooms, bars and restaurants, terraces, kitchens and all common areas following the measures and recommendations collected from official organizations.

In every room:

  • Total disinfection in addition to the usual cleaning.

  • Special intervention on the equipment exposed to contact like TV remote controls, telephone sets, water taps, hangers, etc.

  • Room ventilation for at least 20 minutes.

  • A procedure is applied to avoid linen cross-contamination. The linen is washed at 70°C with disinfectant powder.

  • Non-essential items have been removed from the room such as brochures, leaflets, magazines, laundry bags and decorative elements (rugs, plaids, cushions).

  • The amenities have been reduced to the basic ones (the whole supply is at guest’s disposal on request).

  • Minibar service, ironing facilities, coffee-maker and kettle are only available on request.

  • Glassware and tableware are replaced by single-use utensils.

  • The cleaning of the room will be done without the presence of clients.

  • Our entire staff will be wearing protection masks.

  • All our clients have a safety kit upon arrival including mask, gloves and hydro-alcoholic gel.

  • Whenever possible, the room will be left unused for three days after client’s departure.

In common areas:

  • The capacity is reduced to guarantee the safety distance.

  • All surfaces are disinfected with certified products, and the frequency of cleaning and ventilation has been increased.

  • Readily available hand sanitizers.

  • In the restrooms, towels have been replaced by paper-dispensers to dry hands.

  • Decorative bins have been replaced by others with lid and pedal.

 

2. RESTAURANTS AND BARS

We have adapted our gastronomic offer with new concepts of service to guarantee the safety and well-being of our clients. Measures:

  • Hands disinfection will be mandatory at the entrance of the restaurant.

  • The capacity is reduced and controlled and, if necessary, organized in different shifts in order to keep the compulsory minimum safety distance.

  • The menus and the gastronomic offer will be available in digital format through QR code, as well as in a traditional format allowing safe disinfection.

  • The breakfast buffet has been replaced by a breakfast service in table, thus providing a much more personalized service.

  • Commonly used utensils have been removed: cruets, sugar bowls, napkin rings, etc. as well as the decorative elements of the tables.

  • The dishes, glassware and cutlery are washed at a temperature of 80°C for a proper disinfection.

  • Staff will be wearing a mask.

  • Exhaustive, thorough cleaning, disinfection and ventilation are frequently carried out.

 

3. SAFETY

  • We have adapted the furniture in the commom areas, terraces, gym, lobby, lounges, bars and restaurants, and there is signage indicating the safety measures.

  • Virucide rugs have been placed at the entrance of the hotel.

  • Readily available hand sanitizers in the main access areas of the hotel.

  • In the elevators the maximum occupancy will be limited to people of the same family unit, unless everyone is wearing a mask.

  • The hotel has a contactless thermometer to measure the body temperature.

 

4. PERSONAL PROTECTION MATERIAL AND TRAINING

  • All our staff has been trained to ensure their safety and take care of the safety of our clients, with new operating protocols anti-Covid19 in each department.

  • We have an internal training and early detection protocol.

  • We offer protection elements in the facilities to our guests and employees, such as disinfectant gel, masks or gloves. Our staff have the necessary material to carry out their duties with full guarantee.

  • Suppliers may only access our facilities complying with the mandatory safety requirements.

  • A Risk Management Committee has been created to ensure the compliance with all the hygiene and health procedures.

  • The staff is trained in the event of a possible infection.

 

5. DIGITAL EXPERIENCE

We offer digital solution techniques to avoid or minimize direct interpersonal contact. You may find facilities such as pre-check in or the digitization of food and beverage menus with a QR code.

The clients who have booked their stay through our website can do their pre-check-in by email. A few days prior to arrival they will receive an e-mail allowing their check-in online. Upon arrival they will have to identify themselves and the remaining paperwork will be prepared.

 

6. POOL

  • We have adapted the the pool area to the regulatory capacity, and in compliance with the CSIC reports.

  • The safety distance must be respected.

  • The frequency of cleaning and disinfection tasks has been reinforced.

  • Hammocks and terrace furniture will be disinfected before and after use.

 

7. GYM AND WELLNESS

Access by appointment only.

  • We will maintain the facilities with rigorous hygiene and limited capacity.

  • We have increased the frequency of cleaning and disinfection of surfaces, furniture, counter, railings, door-knobs, deck chairs, etc.

  • Readily available hand sanitizers.

  • The water dispenser has been removed.

  • Mandatory use of masks for therapists, masseurs and clients. Cleaning and disinfection of the massage room after use.

  • Individual bathroom Access, with cleaning after each use.

 

8. CERTIFICATIONS

All our hotels have the SAFE TRAVELS seal by the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC): a certification issued to recognize those companies and governments adopting health and hygiene protocols for users to travel safely.
